Fixes
- Recovers on its own when the SMC refuses fan writes for a while — after sleep and wake, the SMC sometimes refuses to switch fan modes for a few minutes. In 0.7.2, after five failures in a row FanBar handed the fans to macOS, said a restart was needed, and stopped trying, so you had to switch back by hand. The fans still go back to macOS first, but FanBar now retries your mode in the background after 30 seconds, 1 minute, 2 minutes and then every 5 minutes, for up to an hour, and turns it back on once a write gets through. Failed retries show no error, and picking any mode yourself cancels them. A restart is suggested only if the SMC is still refusing after an hour (#131, #114)
Improvements
- A quieter support prompt — the panel’s Support button is no longer a bold filled button, so it no longer outranks actions that fix something, such as authorizing the control service. The links at the bottom of Settings → General now share one line (#123)
