MacBook Pro 16-inch · M2 Max · macOS 27 · FanBar 0.5.0
The issue confirms the app launches and runs long enough for CPU and memory use to be observed.
Limits: Manual RPM and temperature-curve control were not recorded; the performance report remains open.
Read the issue- Results are version-specific. A macOS or FanBar update can change behavior, so each result names the versions it covers.
- "Request accepted" is not the same as "worked". Only a reporter's hands-on confirmation, or a maintainer verification, counts as confirmed control.
- Monitoring never needs the helper. Even where control is untested, temperatures and fan speeds can be read without approving anything.
- Limits always apply. Targets stay inside each fan's reported range — see what the helper can and can't do.
